Today, almost many of the offices have scanners that would help them in their official stuffs. Because scanners are used readily now we should be aware of common problems in scanners.

Scanners help a lot in documentation of official data and information. Some are flatbed scanners while some scanners are bundled up with a printer or may be both printer and photocopier. Using it, we can create digital copies of agreements, contracts and other official data that are needed in daily business operations.

If you are a home user, you can use scanner to convert old snaps into digital ones and can upload them to social networking sites. Sometimes situation arises where your scanner stops working all of a sudden, in the middle of an important scan. The main source of problem is not scanner but its drivers which run the scanner. These drivers act as a communicator between command given by its user and the resulting action and any kind of fault may stop its working and scanner would not be able to deliver its potential.

Very first problem with scanners are their busy status. As soon as you give command to your scanner to do something, computer shows that your scanner is busy and this problem continues to go on and on and you didn’t scan anything overall. Another problem is that computer freezes when scanner is used. Every time you try to run the program for your scanner, computer just stops working or we can say it freezes. Scanner is not detected even after all the connections are done properly. Even if you open device manager to see whether any device is connected, it would not show or may be sometime device is shown but you can not access it. While using scanner, computer restarts suddenly every time you try to use your scanner for scanning the data. Another interesting issue is that computer shows blue screen when the user wants to use scanner. Computer screen goes blank having a blue background showing some codes that you can’t even understand.

If your scanner stops responding to commands, try to update the scanner driver. A well updated driver may help you in communicating the device and its operating system. This problem occurs mainly because driver file gets deleted or corrupted and such problem can be removed very easily by updating, overwriting or installing new software. You can troubleshoot scanner in many ways. Always check that there is no cut on the wire and there is no missing pin. Another interesting way to solve all the problems of scanner is to use driver update software. This software automatically scans all the drivers of the scanner and repairs defective device drivers by finding the suitable updates that can be installed on the computer. When all these attempts fail, try to consult with manufacturer or service center where you can give your scanner to get repaired.

No one knows when any electronic gadget may stop working due to failure of any component or software programs but then too try to use it safely so that it can give 100% output . Common problems of scanners can be cured with technical assistance with little knowledge and research.
