GT-200 Details Graphic Ram

Remember the 1 Billion tranzistors video card from NVIDIA? Finally, some details have emerged! Obviously, we're not talking about details coming from NVIDIA, but it's all we got, and it looks pretty good, so... let's check it out, shall we?

NVIDIA G92

First, we have a name. For most people, the GT-200 will be known as the GeForce 9900 GTX, and the most interesting part is that, according to the specifications leaked this time, NVIDIA is going dual-core! How?

Well, the 9900 GTX is going to be manufactured using the 55nm TSMC process, and is expected to have a single chip with "dual G92b like" cores. The previous 1 Billion transistors has turned into "900M+," and the chip is expected to have a die size of 330-350sq mm, being connected with the memory using a 512-bit interface.

The 9900 GTX cards will also have 32 ROPs, a total of 192 SPs, will require 6+8 pin power connectors and a PSU of about 600W, since the TDP is expected to be around 240W.

Because all the above would be pointless without the cherry on top, here it is - a 9900GTX SLI setup should run Crysis at 2560x1600 with "very high" settings and 4XAA smoothly. Incredible enough? We should wait and see
