How Replace The Video Cards

We value our computers and laptops because they provide both video and audio products. But your computer does not offer you such things without having some supplies. Especially for our eyes the manufacturers placed inside our computers a video card.

Sometimes this device may not work as all the computer related devices. In such situation there are some steps you have to follow in order to solve the video problem. You may want to know how we notice that our video card is not working.

Obviously, the monitor should send us a message, for instance: “No signal source” or “Attach video signal”. Then you might assume that your video card is dead or at least damaged and you should replace it. Or if you are lucky enough looking into BIOS you should find your video card and check whether your video card does not come into conflict with some other installed programs. Pay attention, before throwing the video card out check it in other computer, especially if the motherboard has been recently updated. It might be incompatible with your video card. If you are pretty sure that the video card is the problem, follow the next steps

First of all, you should know that you do not have to be a computer geek to replace this thing. As a result, go to the “My Computer” folder and right-click it. Select the Properties menu and go “Device manager” button. You should find there the video card driver in “Display Adapter section”. Go ahead and uninstall this driver.

Throw out the dead video card!
After this operation, go to an IT shop and buy a new video card that is surely compatible with your system. Do not get scared, you should not pay a master of computers to change a little video card. Just take off the computer’s case only after you have assured yourself that your machine receives no power. Look for the Computer Processor Unit and open the case. Look attentively for your video card case. It is surely above the PCI slot. Take the old video card out and insert the new one. Be careful and put it with caution otherwise you will have to reopen your computer case and replace it in the correct position.

Reinstall a driver that is fit for your new video card. You may claim that you are a laptop user and the process might be rather unhelpful for you. Well, the process stays the same but the remove video card action is a little bit different. So, unplug from any power source your laptop and take out its battery. You should also take out the plastic case and the keyboard. Look for your video card place and remove it.

Place the new one in the same place and put back your keyboard and plastic case. Do not forget to put back the screws and battery. Now, open your laptop and install a driver in order to check the new device.
