Latest vidio card

The  quality of the video card largely determines what you may see on the  computer screen. It is the component in your computer that generates images that are subsequently sent to the monitor. The video controller was integrated into the motherboard in previous computers and this managed to limit  the image capability of the computer system . The  possibilities and range of imaging technology are expanded by the  presence of separate video cards.

At the moment, there are two companies that make video cards –  ATI and Nvidia. These two companies carry 90% of the video card market.  It is easy to imagine that there is a strong competition between the two makers. Even if the end result offers the same thing for the final user, each of the two companies is always trying to improve their  product. This will enable one of them to gain an edge in this tough industry.

The same two companies that make video cards also  make the graphics chips that go into video cards. Many years ago,  NVidia was the leader in this area, but in the past four years ATI chips  and drivers equaled NVidia in terms of performance for price. Yet, recently, in some people's opinions, ATI has lost a little ground again.  Either is fine, but in the end, the customer should  research the  specifics for the particular card that they want to purchase. You can find  all sort of reviews and descriptions of these leading chips and video  cards that are available in all the major PC magazines online and hard  copy. You can also access the manufacturer's websites, for further  information on the available video cards.

First  of all, make sure you choose a graphics card that is a match for the  slot type you have in your PC. Before you purchase, try to check out  your system specification or documentation to visualize whether your  slot types are PCI, AGP, PCI Express, or maybe a combination. The  power supply should be unplugged when installing the graphics card!  Installing or removing computer components while the computer is powered  can damage the computer, making the motherboard or other components  useless.

Auxiliary  power connectors come with high end video cards. These should  absolutely be plugged in for the card to work. The 8800 GTX has two  power connectors on it. You need to make sure your power supply has the  wattage to run the card because high end cards consume a lot of power. Even if  every video card needs a good amount of memory to support dual  monitors, the quality of your dual monitor will depend heavily on the  graphics processing unit also named a GPU.

NVidia and ATI graphics cards provide the best GPU processing. You can't go wrong with these two companies that make video cards.
