Data centers remain the single most-amusing of all IT infrastructures. Not surprising, because it is these structures that make it possible to enjoy all the activities we enjoy doing online, including the seemingly simple acts such as chatting, emailing, and carrying out financial transactions.

The biggest internet players have huge data centers, most of them exclusively built to provide data center functions. Others prefer building multi-facility structures instead of single-building facilities. Still, others build multi-use facilities where part of the space is dedicated to data centers while the remaining space offers colocation services to third parties.
